Kids OCC Shoebox Collection Party

Ms. Kaye is hosting kids grades 1-5, again, for a fun time together on mission on Saturday, November 4. 1st-5th graders join us for an Operation Christmas Child Shoebox party at Mrs. Kaye’s house! Bring your packed shoebox for a wonderful evening of fun and fellowship!!

Our children’s party is a “Collection” Party.  We’ve been doing this event for about 10 years and have found with the little ones – particularly 1st graders that the packing party is difficult. (For example, We have little ones crying because something they brought is in someone else’s box.)  We have the children pack a box(s)  (we give them a box & instructions) with their families.   They bring the box to our collection party where our time is spent introducing them to the shoebox ministry and do the following:

—Watch videos about the Shoebox ministry and testimonies of recipients

—Color the OCC coloring page to include in their box

—Playtime on the playground

—Firepit with S’mores and hot chocolate

This is a drop off event from 3:30-5:30pm.
