Welcome Guests!
We are so happy that your family has chosen to worship with us.
Our goal is to encourage children to get acquainted with the other children the Lord has entrusted us with here at Green Street! You won’t feel like you’re the new kid on the street for long, here at Green Street. We have many children who attend elementary schools all over the region so your child will find a friend quickly and our small group leaders will be excited to welcome them.
When you drive on campus there are several entrances. The easiest way to get to the Green Street Kids area is to enter the Welcome Center, through the courtyard. Green Street Kids area (1st through 5th grade) is immediately located to the left of the Welcome desk in the lower C Wing. We look forward to seeing you here!
Sunday Morning Schedule
Life Groups at 9:45am
STEP 1
Check-In
Our Upstreet desk volunteer will check you in and provide a name tag and a parent tag that will be used for pick-up.
STEP 2
Join a Life Group
Our Welcome Team volunteer will assign your child to a Life Group and personally introduce you and your child to the teacher.
STEP 3
Worship & Bible Study
Your child will participate in a large group worship time with elementary-aged children and then return to the small group setting to learn age-appropriate biblical truths together with children their own age.
STEP 4

Bring your parent tag to pick up your child in their Life Group room. If you need assistance, a volunteer will be available to assist you. For security purposes, a parent tag is required to enter the Upstreet area.
Safety
All of our Green Street Children’s Volunteers and Team Members have gone through a background check. Every Life Group classroom door has a window and children’s Life Group volunteers serve in teams of two or more in each classroom. Our Church Safety Team walks the halls and visit rooms. For added security, we have hired members of the High Point Police Department to remain on our campus during a variety of our gatherings.
Special Needs
The Children's Ministry welcomes all children. If your child has special needs or allergies, please communicate with our Children's Director, Kendra Joyner, ahead of time.
Weekly Activities
Green Street Children's weekly activities are alive, fun, Bible-focused, and Christ-centered gatherings in a welcoming and safe environment.
Sundays
9:45am LifeGroups
Life Groups are the most important component of the Sunday morning experience. These are grade-specific groups where children connect with the same friends and same Life Group Volunteers (a.k.a., teachers) - EVERY SUNDAY!
We are laying a solid foundation of Biblical truths found in the Word of God with age-appropriate lessons from Truth:78 children's curriculum.
Wednesdays
Awana Club
Where fun and learning go hand-in-hand
Green Street Kids has an exciting Wednesday evening featuring our very own Awana Club! We meet in the Kids Lower C Wing from 6:15 pm- 7:30 pm, September - May. During the summer months, when Awana is not in session, other programming is planned.
The goal of the Awana midweek ministry is sinking scripture into the hearts and minds of our kids, 3 years old through 5th grade. We think one of the most important gifts we can give to the next generation is a deep and lasting knowledge of God’s Word.
Awana is designed to partner with parents in cultivating this in the lives of our kids through an exciting, weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.

Everyday at Home
Raising children with enduring and thriving Christian faith
What happens every day at home has the potential to impact a child’s faith much more than what happens during our Sunday and Wednesday gatherings at Green Street. That said, what happens at Green Street is critically important, too. But we recognize God’s primary time and place for shaping children’s faith is every day at home.
That’s what God communicates to parents in this passage: “. . . these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” Deuteronomy 6:6, 7
Since we recognize parents’ role as primary disciple-makers in the home, in this privileged, yet enormous task, Green Street Kids Ministry is committed to supporting, equipping, and encouraging you along the way. One of the main ways we do this is by preparing excellent weekly experiences for your children and keeping you informed and integrated into what’s happening. For example, each week we communicate with you through a weekly email to parents and families on Friday afternoons.
We also encourage you to use the take-home pages, distributed to your children each Sunday and Wednesday, to help in continuing conversations of growing in Christ. We can also provide resources that will help you raise children with enduring and thriving Christian faith.
Our Commitment
Make Disciples
Our purpose is to glorify God by making disciples of all nations. Therefore, we are focused on leading 1st through 5th-grade boys and girls to know, love, and follow God's Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
It is our desire for them to love God's Word and to make disciples.
We are laying a solid foundation of Biblical truths found in the Word of God with age-appropriate lessons.
Treasuring up God’s word in our hearts is a big part of what we encourage and celebrate at Green Street with the goal of making disciples of all nations.
Learn by Experience
To fulfill our commitment to making disciples, we emphasize:
-
Teaching the Word of God at age appropriate levels without watering down the Gospel in its clarity.
-
Sharing the Gospel clearly, on a child’s level, and repeatedly. We want the seeds of faith to be nurtured and grown while in our children’s ministry.
-
Partnering with parents and families to invest in the lives of our children by helping parents understand their primary role as the main disciple makers in their homes.
-
Developing great relationships with peers and adult leaders in small group settings and large group settings.
-
Encouraging a love for the Word of God and what He has done for them in all areas of the world.
-
Having fun along with a mission focus.
